Mesotherapy is a medical specialty that involves injecting microscopic quantities of natural extracts, homeopathic agents, pharmaceuticals, and vitamins into the skin. It can be used to eliminate cellulite, promote weight loss, treat aging skin and redundant (sagging) skin, and rejuvenate the hands and neck.

After applying a pain relieving cream, a very tiny needle is used to administer the medication in a series of injections with little discomfort. These medications melt the fat beneath the skin and shrink the fat cells in the mesoderm. The fat dissolves and is excreted by the kidneys and the bowel without any changes in your bowel habits. The medication is usually injected directly into the areas being treated. The medication is tailored specifically for each patient to optimise results, with results varying from patient to patient.

Adults who are in good health are candidates for Mesotherapy. Those people who are not candidates for Mesotherapy include pregnant women, insulin-dependent diabetics, those with a history of stroke, those who are on multiple medications for heart disease, those with a history of recent cancer.

Cellulite is an accumulation of fat, fluid, and toxins trapped in a hardened network of connective tissue fibers in the Mesoderm layer. The fat cells inflate, causing a “dimpling” and puckering of the skin, commonly referred to as orange peel skin. Lymphatic and venous circulation is poor in these areas. Risk factors for cellulite include being female, lack or exercise, being overweight or obese, having excess hormones, and poor lymphatic drainage.

Mesotherapy is used to cause an increase in venous and lymphatic flow, as well as the elimination of fat and dimpling in the area, creating a smooth, dimple-free appearance
